. . . extend my sincere thanks for your support in organising coaches to ensure British nationals were able to connect with international flights destined for the UK whilst New Zealand was in lockdown. At a time when domestic options for travellers were exceptionally limited, my team and I really appreciated your efforts to facilitate their transport, particularly, as I understand it, it brought minimal commercial benefit for Ritchie’s and a large administrative load. Your efforts enabled a significant number of British nationals to travel home, many of whom have written to us via email since arriving in the UK to express their gratitude. That thanks is due to you, too, for helping them on their journey. Laura Clarke British High Commissioner
