RITCHIES NEW DATAPAY PAYROLL SYSTEM IS ROLLING OUT!

Ritchies new DataPay payroll system has already been activated in a few Depots and will be implemented for your depot in the coming weeks or months. So, what will that mean for you?

You will no longer be emailed or receive paper payslips. A digital payslip will be deposited into your BambooHR account after each pay run. You can find instructions here on how to navigate to and access it.

Annual Leave balances are held in weeks and hours. Your annual leave balance on your payslip will be shown in weeks, along with an approx. of what a week equates to in hours, based on what you worked over the last four weeks. For example, if you have a leave balance of 2 weeks and your average work hours over the last four weeks are 30 hours per week, then your total leave balance displayed would be 60 hours.

Annual Leave payment: Your annual leave will be paid in weeks, and this is what will show on your payslip. Payment in weeks requires the system to convert the hours you were scheduled to work during your leave into a weekly value, based on your average work hours over the last four weeks. This weekly value is then paid at the higher of your Ordinary Weekly Pay (OWP) or Average Weekly Earnings (AWE).

All leave balances are being transferred over to the new system. Your existing leave is being translated into its equivalent in leave unit type (days, weeks, hours).

It’s most important that, if you haven’t already, you register with the BambooHR system to be able to access your payslip. All it takes is an email address and to set up a multi-factor authentication, usually with your phone. We’re also looking to appoint someone in each depot to help you do this if you’re unclear about the process. For more information and log-in to BambooHR guides, head to our Bamboo homepage at www.ritchies.co.nz/bamboo or download the login guide here.

There’re also instructions explaining how to download BambooHR using a computer or laptop.

If you don’t have an email you can set up a free Gmail account to be used just for this purpose - instructions for doing so are here.

If you have already moved over to DataPay, you can find instructions here on where to find your payslip in BambooHR and how to understand the information on it.

You’ll receive more information, reminders and help from your Depot Manager before the changeover occurs in your Depot. In the meantime, please get all your ducks in a row and, if you haven’t, sort your BambooHR login out.
